2. What data we process

• Demo request: name, company, email, WhatsApp (optional), country, fleet size, message (optional), page language and the date and time it was sent.
• Technical access data: IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time. The hosting provider records them to run and protect the website.
• Two preferences stored in your browser: which top photo was shown last, and whether the opening animation has already played during this visit. They stay on your device and do not identify you.

We use no advertising cookies, analytics tools or social media pixels. Fonts and images are served from the website's own domain, with no third-party calls from your browser.

3. Why we use the data and on what legal basis

• To answer your demo request and prepare a proposal: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To contact you about Veloop, as you authorised in the form: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
• To keep the website secure and running: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• To store the preferences in your browser: necessary to show the page as you opened it, without tracking your browsing.

4. Who receives the data

We do not sell your data or pass it to third parties for their marketing. We use providers that process data on our behalf under a data processing agreement:

• Vercel Inc. (United States): website hosting.
• Google (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC): the spreadsheet and email where we receive demo requests.

We may also share data where the law requires it or an authority orders it.

5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Vercel and Google may process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, covered by the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023, and on the standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission.

6. How long we keep the data

• Demo requests: up to 24 months after the last contact. If a request leads to a contract, the data then follows the retention periods of the contract and of legal and tax obligations.
• Technical access data: for the period set by the hosting provider, usually a few days.
• Browser preferences: the photo preference stays until you clear the site's data; the opening one disappears when you close the tab.

7. Your rights

At any time you can ask for:

• access to the data we hold about you;
• correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• erasure of your data;
• restriction of processing;
• portability of the data you provided to us;
• objection to processing based on legitimate interest;
• withdrawal of consent, without affecting what was done before.

8. Complaints to a supervisory authority

If you believe your data has not been handled properly, you can lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of the country where you live, work or where the infringement took place. In Italy, this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).

9. Other information

• Providing the form data is voluntary, but without the required fields we cannot answer your request.
• We do not make automated decisions or build profiles with your data.
• The website is not intended for children under 16.
• The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to the accounts where requests are stored is restricted.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website or the law changes. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
